How has Tokyo Changed?

 

Since Tokyo got bombed, it changed a lot when they rebuilt the city. Man ydevelopments happened because tall buildings slowly developed. The population has increased overtime and now today has 127 million inhabitants. The percentage of elderly people has increased from 9.2% to 25.9% over 50 years. The birth rate in Japan is declining. People are now having 1.43 children per couple. This means that there's only one person replacing two in the city population. People are also living healthier than they were in the past because the life expectancy has increased by 13 years for men and 14 years for women. The amount of tourists has increased from several hundreds of thousands each year to several millions each year. In the future, population will increase further, the number of foreingers especially increase. Tokyo is going to further improve the infastructure of the city in hope of creating the best Olympic games and Paralympic Games in 2020. It is estimated that Tokyo will be the richest city in the world. relying on banking and financial support as well relying a lot on sales from electronics, vehicles, clothing and consumer goods. Japan has also been trying to create and use renewable energy in result from the Fukushima nucleur disaster.
