Why are People Attracted?
People all across the world are attracted to Tokyo for it's high standard of living quality and education as well as better job opportunities. In 2014, The University of Tokyo was ranked 23rd in the world, the highest ranking university located in Asia. Japan offers a range of education opportunities such as elementary schools, junior highs , high schools, technology colleges, universities and graduate schools. They also have a choice of national, public or private institutions.
Tokyo has also been given the title of safest city in the world by The Economist, it's low crime rate being a massive pull factor for those looking to move to a new city.
Surveys also show that residents worries about attacks,robberies,discrimination and bribery are very low, the statistics of how safe they feel walking around during the day and night both being very high.
Tokyo has many traditional arts, festivals, celebrations and rituals that expresses Japan's unique culture. Tea ceremonies, flower arranging, puppet theatre and drama performances in exquisite costumes are just some of the many arts practised in Tokyo. Various festivals and observances occur throughout the year in Tokyo, a wide variety of them filling the calendar up with exciting events, some of the most popular being the traditional New Year visits to the shrines, the Cherry Blossom viewing in April when they bloom and Matsuris, which are local religious festivals to celebrate a shrines certain deity, seasonal or historical event.
Reflecting Japan's colourful culture, residents and visitors will never get bored whilst participating and exploring the various activities that Tokyo provides, with a vast range of characteristics, some activities being calm and meditative and some being lively and energetic, there is something for everyone.

artificial island across the Rainbow Bridge as well as various boats that cross the water such as a Tokyo Bay Cruise or a Yakatabune boat will provide the best viewpoints for this sight.
Restaurants in Tokyo host a wide range of cuisines from all around the world whilst still maintaining its traditional dishes, creating a mix of old and new dishes. Some common dishes found in Tokyo are Edomae-zushi, which is sushi prepared with fish caught in Tokyo Bay, soba which are noodles made from buckwheat flour, and tempura which are fish, vegetables etc dipped in batter and fried in sesame oil. With many fine restaurants there will always be something that will appeal to your taste buds.
